Comment Policy

Here are my rules for commenting on blog articles. I moderate all comments on this site, so before you comment, you should know:

This is MY Blog

I love people visiting my blog. I thoroughly enjoy the interaction and community. However, I have my own rules. If you don’t like them, leave. You do not have to be here.

Don’t Be a Dick

If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all. Personal attacks and harassment will not be tolerated. Sexist, racist, misogynist, homophobic, and broad, offensive generalizations about groups of people are not allowed, and you will be blocked. Comments or discussions written intentionally to provoke will also be removed. Basically, if I consider it a dick comment, I will delete it.

Choose Your (Curse) Words Wisely

I have no problem with cussing. I do it all the time. Depending on the context of the comment, however, it may be removed. Profanity used to insult, antagonize, or inflame will always be removed. Other words used to attack me or another commenter will be deleted.

You Do Not Have to Agree With Me

I don’t expect you to agree with me, and I like it when you disagree with me, but you must be RESPECTFUL. Every thought I have on a case is STRICTLY MY OPINION. If you don’t like my thoughts on a case, fine, but don’t attack me. This goes for other people giving their opinion in comments. Act like an adult, not a child.

Do Not Comment With Only a Link

If you add a comment containing only a link, it will be deleted. I don’t care if the link is to a legit site; it will be deleted. You MUST add words with the link explaining the link. People need to know where they are going if they click on it.

Do NOT Post Comments Under a Different Case Post

Occasionally, I may shut comments off of one of my posts. There is a reason for that. If you comment on a closed-comments post under a DIFFERENT case post, your comment will be deleted.

These rules are subject to change without notice.
