On Aug. 20, 2007, Nurin’s father returned from work and took a nap. While her father slept, Nurin donned a pink dress and left the residence to walk to a night market 500m from her home. Nurin wanted to buy her favorite hair clip. Her family never saw her alive again.

Between 7:30 p.m. and 12 a.m., Megan spent time with her best friend, watching the NBC show “Friends.” She told her friend that she was going home at midnight because she had to be at work at noon the following day. It was the last time her friend saw Megan alive.

The family settled in for the night. Annie Moore slept in a back bedroom while her grandmother stayed in an adjoining room off her parents’ front bedroom. Around 10:10 p.m., Annie turned off the bedroom light to go to sleep. Rosa Moore had not yet fallen into slumber when she noticed an overhead light fixture drop to the floor. Next came a deafening roar.

At 10:30 a.m. on January 14, 2004, Ted Johnson, owner of the Back 40 Restaurant outside Shorter, and his son found the decomposed body of a white male in an unused grain silo on the Johnson farm behind the restaurant, 500 yards off County 30.

A 911 call came into the Moscow Police Department at 11:58 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, regarding an unconscious person at 1122 King Road, an off-campus student rental. When officers arrived, they found four University of Idaho students brutally murdered on the second and third floors of the six-bedroom home.
