Spollen last spoke with his mother on the phone at 3:44 a.m. on Feb. 3, 2012, for about six minutes. Spollen said he had changed his mind about traveling to Delhi. He decided to stay in Rishikesh for a short trek without a guide in a forested area near the city. He promised to text whenever possible, but cell service would be unreliable.

Riley’s brother had noticed a dark green four-door car, possibly a Ford Taurus or Chevrolet Caprice, that he did not recognize. He asked his sister who was in the car. Riley vaguely told him it was a friend she had met in the neighborhood. She walked out the door and entered the vehicle, leaving her money and purse behind. Her family has not seen her since.

On July 3, 2001, Crystal Ann Arensdorf, 20, and a friend went to Knicker’s Saloon in Dubuque, Iowa, to finish celebrating Independence Day. Arensdorf had spent part of the evening watching fireworks with her sister. Arensdorf was last seen in Knicker’s around 2 a.m. She was supposed to take a taxi cab with the bartender after closing time to East Dubuque, Ill. However, Arensdorf was gone when the cab arrived.

Christina Maxine Whittaker, 21, was last seen running out of a local bar in Hannibal, Missouri, on November 13, 2009. She had spent a couple of hours with friends at Rookie’s Sports Bar, but the bartender kicked her out for harassing other bar patrons. Christina begged her friends and strangers for a ride home, but nobody gave her one. No one has seen her since. Her mother believes she is a victim of human trafficking and might still be alive.

Frank and Tessie Pozar disappeared from Spokane, Washington. They were last seen in late October 1984, a few days before they were to fly to Hawaii for the winter. Their son, Frank Pozar, Jr., is the primary suspect. He was later convicted of forgery and theft after detectives discovered he had accessed his parents’ financial accounts and had items in his possession they usually took to Hawaii.
