Dorothy Jane ScottDorothy Scott was a 32-year-old single mother to a four-year-old son, named Shawn. They resided in Stanton, California with Dorothy’s aunt. Dorothy worked as a secretary for Swingers Psych Shop, a 2400 sq. ft. store located at 517 S. Brookhurst Street in Anaheim, about a mile south of the Santa Freeway. Zena Hair Salon and Ocean Breeze Cleaners occupy the space today.

David Vernon Lovely: Disappeared in Wyoming in 1985

19-year-old David Vernon Lovely disappeared in Wyoming while traveling cross-country with his family in 1985. He has never been found.

In August 1985, David Lovely, 19, was traveling from California to Massachusetts on a cross-county move with his mother, Jackie Aubut, and his 18-year-old sister, Alison Lovely. Alison and Jackie were driving the yellow Ryder truck, and David was riding his motorcycle. Jackie and Alison checked on David every 30 miles.

Carmen Lynn Pearcy: Missing from California Since 2004

This case is a bit strange. There is not a lot of information out there about it. For some reason, I feel like it needs to be here.

48-year-old Carmen Lynn Pearcy was on her way to pick up her grandchildren for a weekend visit in June 2004.  Her Ford F-150 super cab pick-up truck was found abandoned along California’s Interstate 5 near the Gillman Road exit. There was no sign of Carmen.

Zaharias Children: Where are Chris and Lisa?

The Zaharias Children were abducted by their mother, Susan Gammill Zaharias in 1987. Their father, Louis Zaharias, has been searching for his children ever since.

On November 19, 1987, Louis Zaharias and his wife of six years, Susan Zaharias, got into a big verbal argument in their Santa Ana, California home. The next morning, Louis went to work. When he returned later in the day, Susan and their two children, Christopher, age 3, and Lisa, age 1, were gone.

Mitchell Deon Owens: Missing since 1983

While I was looking into Toni Clark’s case, I came across this one. It’s also in the San Francisco Bay area. A truly sad and horrifying story.

On the night of February 3, 1983, an unidentified man broke into the apartment of Ora Owens in Menlo Park. California and severely beat her.

Ora’s four-year-old son Mitchell during the attack and walked into the same room. Ora screamed at her son to run just before the attacker strangled her and left her for dead. Her other two sons were there, but they slept through the attack.

Toni Danielle Clark: Missing from California Since 1990

toniclarkOn March 16, 1990, 17-year-old Toni Danielle Clark left Oakland, CA and headed to her home in San Bruno, CA after visiting friends and family. Before she left, the Chevy Camaro she borrowed from her boyfriend kept stalling. After several failed attempts, the car finally started, and Toni began the drive home.

Shortly after leaving Oakland, the car stalled again on the Bay Bridge. Some witnesses recalled seeing a black male under the hood of the vehicle and others saw a man walk away.

Juliana Redding Murder: Worst Case of Injustice Ever?
