PLEASE READ: Taking a Break

Taking a break

Just wanted to give you a heads up that I am taking a week off from blogging and approving comments, as well as Twitter.

I need a break. The last post I wrote on Kenneka Jenkins caused quite a stir, and the trolls came out. I deleted all the nasty comments towards me and the article so you were never able to view them. But it just wore me out and pissed me off, so I became Negative Nancy BIG time. read more

True Crime Diva on Reddit and Elsewhere

It has come to my attention that a user on Reddit is sharing my articles. No biggie. However, this person is NOT giving me proper credit. Shocker. Smh.

So, of course people who previously visited or currently visit my blog are asking if that’s me. I have had this happen on Twitter as well.

if the user name is not “truecrimediva” then it is not me.

The only exception is Facebook because some asshole used “truecrimediva” as their personal profile username before I created my page. On Facebook, I go by “originaltruecrimediva.” read more

Taking a small break from writing

I’ve decided to take a small break from writing to focus on other things. I have some books to read for reviews as well as a lot of research on a future post. I am also developing another blog. I have not had much time to work on these things, so I will work on them during my break from writing posts.

I plan on returning with a new post mid-May. Until then, I will still approve comments and check email as well as post on social media. read more

Disabled Comments on Popular Post Again

Once again I disabled comments on both my posts about Johnny Gosch. All anyone wants to do is bash what me and a few others said about Noreen’s appearance.

So listen up.

That is how I feel and how some others feel. Deal with it.

Of all the damn things people can comment on about this case, they keep commenting about that.

I had to delete a comment today because the person was being mean to another. I will not tolerate that. If you don’t like what is said, you can disagree, but you don’t have to be an asshole about it. I’ll delete the comment and ban the user if need be. read more

Book Reviews Update

The subdomain bookreviews.truecrimediva.com will cease to exist on April 4, 2017.

From now on, all book reviews, old and new, can be found at http://www.truecrimediva.com/category/book-reviews or by clicking on “Book Reviews” on the top menu.

I think this will flow much better than having a subdivision of the main site.

Please continue to send any book reviews requests to bookreviews@truecrimediva.com  read more

Problems with Comments. Again.

It has come to my attention that visitors were not able to comment on any post on this blog. When they tried, they were blocked – suspected of being a bot. I’ve never had any issues like this before.

I knew something was up because I have not received any comments in days, and that is very unusual.

I realized that it was the comment system I was using. So, I deactivated and deleted it and have temporarily reverted back to the WordPress Native Comments system. read more

Problem Commenting on Posts

Someone emailed me and told me she could not post a comment on a particular case. So, I checked and for some strange reason, I had the blog set to NOT allow comments on posts older than 28 days.

I did not mean to do this. So, the problem has been fixed and you can now comment on all articles past and present!

I apologize for the inconvenience and error!! read more
